Sterge graduated from BSHS in 1961. Throughout his career, he has been heavily involved in, and is an advocate for, immigration law, current affairs and international relations. He is a committed Greek community ambassador.
Sterge became somewhat of a voice for asylum seekers, working as an independent merits reviewer for the Refugee Status Authority. In 2012 Sterge retired and is enjoying life with his wife, Alexandra.
