His Honour Judge Manus Boyce QC, Nudgee College 1951-1952

His Honour Judge Manus Boyce QC was admitted as a solicitor in 1960, a barrister in June 1967 and in December 1983 became a Queen's Counsel.

Judge Boyce had been a committee member of the Bar Association of Queensland from 1983 to 1988, and a member of the Legal Aid Commission from 1986 to 1988, and a member of the Barristers’ Board and the Standing Committee of the Convocation of The University of Queensland. He had also lectured in professional conduct at the Queensland University of Technology. Judge Boyce QC was appointed to the District Court on 18th February 1988. He retired on 5 October 2004, upon reaching the mandatory retirement age. In 1999, Judge Boyce had been awarded the Senate Medal for Distinguished Service to The University of Queensland.
